Abstract :
With the combination of the large finite element software ABAQUS and strength reduction finite element method, the slope stability is researched. When the reduction factor is the variable in ABAQUS, evolutionary process of plastic zone will be dynamic display. The method can be applied to prediction the location of sliding surface and the stability factor, by using slope stability analysis for the back side of a first level hydro-power station, and compare to a traditional limit equilibrium method. This method can also calculate and analysis the reinforcement of slope.
