Abstract :
This paper studies models for different sensors in smart phone, such as camera, Wi-Fi module and GPS module, to measure vehicle distance on highway and design distance warning system by fusing data gained by these three sensors. We firstly propose a new algorithm for license plate location with phone´s camera and calculate vehicle distance basing on located license plate. We obtain vehicle distance also thorough RSSI attenuation theory with Wi-Fi module and through socket communication with GPS module. Then, we design a system for vehicle distance warning, by data fusion according to characteristics of different sensors.
