Abstract :
This article consists of a collection of slides from the author´s conference presentation on high performance and efficient single-chip small cell base station communications. Some of the specific topics discussed include: a basic overview of base station processing; small cell capabilities for heterogeneous radio access networkgs; small cell design based on OCTEON Fusion (Cavium); the architecture of OCTEON Fusion CNF71XX architecture and design; and software models for future base station technologies.
