Future Internet, Cloud Computing and VISP

This paper is concerned with future developments and demonstrates how results from the European project VISP (IST-FP6-027178) could be used for service provisioning in the Future Internet and Cloud Computing. It is looking at the role that collaborating SMEs can play based on work from the VISP project, which is further developed for Cloud Computing and the Future Internet environment. The work on ISP services that was undertaken in the VISP project is relevant to a service-centric view of the world, as seen in approaches such as the Future Internet of Services (IoS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Cloud Computing.
