Abstract :
This paper reviews an implementation of hydraulic turbine model as a part of complex collaborative work on electrodynamic model of power system (EDMPS) modernization using modern control and measurement systems. This paper represents a survey that does not reinvent mathematical base, developed enough in large number of works, moreover it gives a description of the hardware model implementation and provides some ways to balance execution rate, accuracy and level of detail. Successful experience in modernization of turbine model in EDMPS can be used in improvement of other physical and hybrid models of power systems and power plant simulators.
