Abstract :
Parallelism need not be hard - much easier than traditional concurrent programming. Parallel programming, like programming, is a team effort that requires many different skills and many different tools - coarse-level parallelism for the masses, tuned libraries, refactoring tools, verification and tuning tools. Parallel architectures can scale if they take advantage of practical constraints on communication and synchronization in real programs.
