Abstract :
This paper presents a novel system and method to generate intuitive user interface by using humidity and temperature sensors. Recent developments in this field have shown that these sensors can be utilized to detect the expulsion of human breath. However, they are used only to detect the presence of human Air Blow but not the exact location of it on the surface of the handheld device. This paper solves this problem by the proposed Air Blow Localization algorithm. This paper discusses about various gestures developed with this algorithm and their applications. Further, it explains about the augmentation of these gestures with other input mechanisms. A proof of concept is developed with four humidity sensors and experiments are conducted for evaluating various test cases whose results are presented.
