Abstract
Effect analysis of the reflector surface errors on radiation characteristics is one important research topic. In this paper, a mathematical model is developed to describe the influencing degree of the random errors in different rings on reflector´s gain and sideloble level (SLL). Then, based on the proposed model, through the analysis for the errors in different rings, the curves for the gain loss (GL) and the first sidelobe level increase (SLLI) are presented to show the effects of random errors in different rings on radiation characteristics. First, to show their correctness, several simulations with different non-uniform surface errors are presented. Then, a multi-objective optimization model is constructed to further analyze the effects of the errors in different rings. Some useful results have been obtained. Simulations show that the errors´ distribution along the radius has an important effect on GL and SLLI, and the errors´ non-uniformity should also be considered in the evaluation of the reflector surface.
