  • Abstract
Solar energy is one of the most promising, green, reliable and competent source among available renewable energy sources. Photovoltaic (PV) module directly converts solar energy into electrical energy. Solar radiation incident on PV module can be divided into three forms direct or beam radiation, diffuse radiation and refracted radiation. The performance of PV module is highly dependent on position and angle of orientation of module, which varies with latitude. In this paper a Lab VIEW model have been developed to translate horizontal solar radiation into tiled surface and monthly average optimal tit angle was determined. A comprehensive literature survey of estimation model is also investigated. The developed model can be helpful to estimate the maximum power generation of a particular place. A comparison of power generation on horizontal surface with power generation corresponding to optimal tilt angle is also demonstrated. To validate the model, it was simulated for the data given by manufacturer at standard condition.
