  • Abstract
    Today´s world is facing a severe water crisis. Limited sources and increasing demand is drying every source of water dramatically. The problem is arising due to negligence in proper consumption of water, inappropriate and disproportional water distribution, lack of automation, limited presence of remote monitoring and control facilities. One of the ways to avoid water wastage is to improve the water distribution system. The proposed system suggests a cost effective and integrated solution for water quantity measurement using flow meter, payment acknowledgement system implemented with the help of Global System for Mobile Communication, Real time monitoring and control of various parameters achieved by micro-controller and ZigBee communication, Detection of leakage in distribution system supported by solenoid valve and other peripheral devices. Level controlling and monitoring is achieved by using level switches and micro-controller.
