Abstract :
Many real world systems, including smart mechatronics systems, can be better characterized by dynamic systems of non-integer order. These system can be modeled more accurately by non-integer order(fractional-order) models. Due to the behavior as infinite dimensional model, proper approximations to fractional-order differentiator (sα, α, ϵ, R) are fundamentally important. In the literature, it is proved that the fractional-order controller gives better characteristics as compared to integer-order controller. Implementation of these fractional derivative/integration is still an open problem. Many methods proposed for the integer-order approximation of fractional derivative/integration. Many author have implemented fractional derivative (Fractional-Order Controller) using some simulation software. In this paper, we have implemented integer-order approximation of fractional derivative using DSP. This will help the researchers to implement the fractional derivative used for modeling and control using hardware.
