Abstract :
This work present a design of microstrip patch antenna and its array with slot using CST software. The dimension of proposed antenna is 30 × 46 mm2 and substrate height is 1.6mm. The proposed antenna structure is designed on FR-4 substrate. The dielectric constant of FR-4 substrate is 4.3. Using CST microwave studio, simulated results achieved return loss below -10 dB at centre frequency 5.75 GHz. The proposed antenna will be potentially useful in wireless communication areas such as WLAN/WiMAX. Using the proposed array directivity and gain of the proposed antenna array is enhanced by 150% and 151.48% respectively.
