Difficulties and challenges faced in testing AJAX applications

Manual testing is preferred over automated testing as if user interface components need to be changed very frequently. But there are certain situations when automated testing is helpful for quality software delivery like in regression testing, test suite needs to be executed each time there is some fault found that needs to be fixed and assuring no new issue aroused due to the fixing of that fault. Thus regression test suite is premium option for automation. This paper is written to cover the basics of Ajax technology and its working model. The user interface reverse engineering process guides in the automation of the testing process. The paper also covers problems and challenges encountered during testing of Ajax applications.
