Abstract :
A compact truncated conical Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) is presented. The truncation at the upper side of the DRA makes it useful for the microwave application(X, Ku and K band). The antenna resonates at three frequencies of 12.9 GHz, 19.7 GHz and 23.5 GHz with good impedance matching. The gains at three resonant frequencies are more than 5 dBi. The antenna is excited with TM018 mode to give apple shaped omni directional radiation pattern for triple bands.
