  • Abstract
The Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) is being used as the platform for the Swiss Light Source (SLS) and the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS). We will look at the use of commercial companies as a way to outsource the labor required during the construction phase of a project. I will discuss the tools that were developed and the issues in having a commercial company provide EPICS applications
