Abstract :
Primary frequency of hydropower unit plays an important role in the stability of the grid frequency. The operation mode of hydropower governor has remarkable effect on the frequency modulation. In this paper, frequency power integrated control mode and frequency power select control mode were introduced, as well as the analysis of their static and dynamic characteristics, and frequency power select control mode was recommended. The select control mode can effectively improve the power control and primary frequency response speed.
