Abstract :
With the approach of the aging society, collecting medical data of old patients becomes more and more important. Currently, there are a wide range of personal health devices (PHD), however, many of these devices have not been standardized and can´t be compatible with the same manager. ISO/IEEE 11073 standard is a popular standard in collecting measurement data. In this paper, we propose a design of an 11073 standard adapter, which can be used as a bridge between the medical devices and the 11073 manager applications. The adapter can collect measurement data from different kinds of and types of medical devices, standard devices and non-standard devices are both fine and convert it into 11073 standard data. Using this adapter will hide the diversity of the means of communication at bottom and simplify the process of collecting standard measurement data.
