Abstract :
To resolve the problem of near-range ship targets radar echoes crossing several Doppler units after MTD processing, a weighted area average method is proposed to solve the angular error, in which the angle measurements are filtered with weight of small window median. After the processing, the angular glint is suppressed efficiently while the measurement details are remained. Besides, the computational complexity keeps low. The manipulating results with measurement data show the method can effectively improve radar angle tracking precision by suppressing the angular glint significantly when the terminal guidance radar is approaching the target.
