Abstract :
The wireless fading channel is an important issue in wireless communications, and a cheap as well as flexible channel generator (simulator) is necessary for the measurement of wireless equipment. Therefore, this paper investigates the fading channel modeling with two-dimension (2D) angle of arrival (AOA) distribution, and then, obtains the model parameter by the autoregressive method. Finally model parameters are fed to the Agilent ADS software to control the external vector signal generator to generate the physical fading channel. Compared with the dedicated channel generator, the above method has the advantages of flexibility and low-cost. Moreover, the Matlab verification and the hardware test demonstrate its feasibility.
