Abstract
The bioprocess monitoring is a substantial aspect of a coherent process control system, providing tools for reproducibility and stability assurance, as well as product quality improvement. The biotechnological processes present inherent challenges to supervision, such as the complex relation between products, by-products and substrate, the sensor structure employed in the monitoring routine plays a vital role in the correct process management. In this paper we present a brief review on the devices for bioprocess monitoring, its systematic classification and some relevant types of application of those equipments.
