Abstract :
Previous studies have indicated that the level of happiness associated with various life domains, for example, have reported measuring well-being by Gross National Happiness (GNH). However, during the past two decades, most studies have employed questionnaires to measure the GNH index. This study investigated the level of happiness in neural correlates of individuals by using coherence analysis of EEG data. Twenty healthy volunteers (men) participated in this study, and the mean age of the participants was 20.0 ± 2.0 years. The results showed that greater than little coherent connections were associated with higher levels of happiness. In conclusion, the EEG measures appear to be an effective tool for personal characteristics of happiness.
