Abstract
This paper presents the reliability prediction methodology for a missile system in early phase of development based on the field test data of its subsystems is. The categorization of subsystems based on their functioning characteristics and selection of appropriate statistical distribution for each system is also given here. The accuracy of reliability prediction can be improved by using Monte Carlo simulation is also discussed here. Computation case studies using conventional and Monte Carlo simulation are also presented here.
