  • Abstract
Micro grid can be fuel cells, wind turbines or photo voltaic systems with a range from few kilowatts to hundred kilowatts. Micro grid can improve the reliability of radial distribution system, by means of reducing the average interruption duration. Integration of micro grid in the distribution networks, mainly in low voltage (0.4 kV) networks, is an emerging research area. Integration of micro grid in a distribution networks can have a positive impact on reliability performance of radial distribution system due to its features and operating modes. In this paper the impact of low voltage (LV) side connected Micro grid (μG) on reliability of radial distribution system is evaluated for three different configurations of radial feeder and results are compared.
