Abstract
This paper presents a Comparative Study considering Small Signal Stability using FACTS devices. The linearized model concerning SMIB power system (Phillips-Heffron model) has been developed and checked the performance of FACTS devices using Eigen value approach and Time domain. The simulation study shows that use of Series Vectorial Compensator (SVeC) has better in damping of low frequency oscillation characteristics than the TCSC and PSS.
