Abstract :
Due to the excessive application of power electronic converters in electric vehicle, reactive power and harmonics cause power quality problems. In order to mitigate the harmonics, this paper proposes an active filter which consists of a cascaded multilevel inverter controlled with PWM technique. The proposed active power filter performance is checked using MATLAB Simulink model.
