Abstract
In this paper, a preliminary results on S-Band Radar Development for submarine surveillance is described. The proposed submarine radar system is designed to be operated in bistatic configuration. As the radar signal, LFM-CW waveform operating at 2.4 GHz is implemented. Performance of the designed submarine radar to detect of a target is evaluated through a simulation system. Target detection is conducted by using stretch processing and cross-correlation signal processing. From this evaluation, the result of target detection using cross-correlation still shows better accuracy than the ohers. Target distance detection accuracy is 100 % for maximum target distance up to its maximum unambiguous range.
