  • Abstract
A Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator antenna is presented with diversity in probe feed locations. The Cylindrical Dielectric resonator Antenna (CDRA) introduced with conical air gap is excited with coaxial probe. The placement of probe conformal to CDRA with and without the help of a metal strip is investigated. HEM11δ mode is excited for both the feedings and resonances occur at 5.1 GHz to be suitable for Wi max application. The same antenna with centrally grooved probe excitation resonates for triple band in which TM01δ mode is excited. The gains for the conformal cases are uniform around 4.6 dBi and for central probe excitation it is 7.08 dBi.
