Abstract :
Investigations have been carried out on microstrip band-stop notch filter with U-shaped hairpin Defected Ground Structure (DGS). Variations of notch frequencies for different dimensions and substrate parameters are studied. Closed form expression for designing a band stop filter has been proposed. The proposed closed form expression is validated with earlier reported simulated and experimental results.
