Abstract :
The advancement in regulatory policies, promotion of Solar PV technologies paved way towards maximum use of solar based sources for residential, industrial and commercial applications. This paper presents the impact of grid connected rooftop Solar PV on reliability of a distribution system. A Case study is undertaken from a typical utility system in Kerala. The distribution system considered is 11kV Ollur electrical section, in Thrissur District, Kerala. One among the five feeders, named Estate feeder is considered in the study and impact of number of consumers using rooftop solar PV connected to the feeder is studied by using probability based mathematical model of DG.
