Abstract :
Pressure Wave Propagation (PWP) method is one of the most significant techniques used in the field of nondestructive investigation on space charge. Even after more than three decades from its invention, several issues related to the experimental arrangement, resolution of the measurement and overall measurement accuracy remain unaddressed. In this paper, to highlight the aforesaid issues, an overview of PWP method has been presented with simulated results. It is believed that the simulation would be useful for understanding the basic concepts of PWP method as well for designing improved diagnostic equipment.
