Abstract :
Induction motor appears to be one of the major loads on power network, supposed to be operated under balanced supply. However in a weak grid any unbalances may result with the overheating of machine. Therefore this paper presents a model to estimate the induction motor stator winding temperature when fed with unbalanced supply. Experimental data on a transformer is extended to develop a model for such investigations.
