Abstract :
To address these challenges, a new concept of next generation electric power system, a smart grid, has emerged. The smart grid is a modern electric power-grid infrastructure for improved efficiency, reliability, and safety, with smooth integration of renewable and alternative energy sources, through automated control and modern communication technologies with targets planning and specification of a mapping between Abstract Communication Service Interface (ACSI) Reporting and collaborative operation of wireless Sensor Network (WSN). As one of the main objectives, this paper gives a first glimpse and opens up future work in many unexploited research areas of applying wireless sensor transmission networks (WSTNs) in smart grid by providing an overview of the opportunities with significant advantages and challenges and to develop practical system for monitoring power system operation and energy market in the Smart-Grid.
