  • Abstract
The paper envisages that average current control conceptions are applied to a flyback converter for the use of power factor correction (PFC). Using self driven soft switching self driven sustaining circuit explicitly transistorized snubber, a flyback converter can work under continuous conduction-mode (CCM) with high input power factor, leakage energy recovery and circuit efficiency upto 94%. The effectiveness of the flyback circuit is preserved with natural isolation and the power handling capability is improved of the proverbial flyback converter. The properties of standard control allied to flyback PFC application are highlighted. The design guideline and geometric simple model are presented. A 60W/6V converter is built, and the simulation results confirm the excellent prospects of communication power supply.
