Abstract :
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is one of the promising technologies with its demanding feature for most of the applications in current world. The WSN is usually developed for particular applications, where by using sensors, the data is routed through the sensor nodes, a source and sink node, path with the transmission media are the factors to be considered. The paper highlights on faults that are occurring in the network due to various failures like node, sink, radio, paths giving a solutions to each of these failures. The results of simulation shows that, whenever the nodes are held for routing to transmit the data, the failure factors influence the network to reduce the efficiency of a network. A comparative data is been given for various parameters like packet loss, jitter, throughput etc, that arises with or without failure in the network.
