Abstract :
The Image of an object through the wall occurs by the penetration of ultra wide band (UWB) wave gets affected by the various impairments like its thickness, dielectric constant, conductivity etc. which should be correctly measured. The failure of which results in the blurring and degradation of the image of an object behind the wall. The wrong estimation of the wall parameters leads to defocusing and will shift in position of the object also. This paper presents a real time experimental approach using two different analysis technique of dielectric constant estimation. First technique is a free space approach which is implemented on brick-cement wall and second is reflection coefficients technique implemented on dry plywood wall. Both of these techniques require no presumption of any other parameter of the wall.
