Abstract :
A proximity feed square fractal slot circularly polarized microstrip antenna is proposed in this paper. The realization of circular polarization is achieved by the asymmetrical feeding and fractal geometry. Due to self-similar and space filling property of the fractal, miniaturization of radiating patch is achieved. The proposed antenna has a 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 60 MHz and 10 dB return loss of 156 MHz. The maximum gain of 6.8 dB with radiation efficiency of 82% obtained in simulation results.
