Abstract :
In order to investigate the effect of dynamical plasma sheath on communication signals, this paper proposes band finite-state Markov channel model to represent the dynamic plasma effect on signals at Ka band. First, the amplitude attenuation characteristics induced by dynamic plasma are calculated by Transmission Line Analogy method. Then the Ka band finite-state Markov channel model of dynamic plasma sheath is established according to the attenuation statistical characteristic and equal distance (ED) state partition method is proposed. Simulation results show that the first order statistical channel properties of the proposed channel model agree with the original attenuation data well. Finally, BER performance of typical telemetry, track and command (TT&C) signals under the established model is analyzed as well.
