Abstract :
A new design method of a low profile shaped antenna with an elliptical beam based on the Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline surface modeling is proposed. The curves of the main reflector and sub-reflector in the plane when φ=0° are calculated based on the radiation pattern of the feed horn and the selected aperture field distribution function of the main reflector by using a shaping method; Then shape the curves of the main reflector and sub-reflector in any φ plane; Finally, model the main reflector and sub-reflector surfaces by using the Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline surface modeling. The simulation results show that the efficiencies of the designed elliptical beam antenna are 62.28% and 65.45% at 12.5GHz and 14GHz, respectively, the antenna achieves the performances of low profile, low side-side and high efficiency.
