Abstract :
In the research of phased array antenna´s radiation antenna, the key point is the accurate characterization of the array element´s radiation characteristic. In this paper, Huygens surface radiation theory was adopted to derive the radiation computing model of the printed dipole antenna array element. This model is different from the other wire dipole model because it has considered the array element´s surface radiation characteristics. The numerical validation shows that the error of the model is less than 3dB.
