Abstract :
In this paper we present a new ultra-wideband 20-way coaxial power combiner. In this new structure, there is a radially extended coaxial cavity and 20 coaxial coupling probes. It can not only be used as power combiner but also power divider. There are several critical parameters we´ll discuss here that ultimately determine the performance of the new power combiner. The new structure can efficiently work in ultra-wideband 6GHz-18GHz range. ANSYS HFSS simulation results show that the insertion loss is less than -1dB and the return loss is below -15dB. With relatively compacted body, space is sufficiently used and manufacturing process is easy for industry production.
