Abstract :
A novel triple notch-bands UWB (ultra-wide band) band-pass filter with three sharply rejected notched bands based on E-shaped resonator and open-load stubs was proposed in this paper. The basic UWB BPF was designed using stepped impedance resonator (SIR) and four short-circuited stubs with length of λ/4.To achieve triple band-notched performance, the proposed triple notch-bands UWB BPF used E-shaped resonator and two open-load stubs to couple to the stepped impedance resonator (SIR) of the basic UWB BPF. The simulation results showed that the proposed filter with triple band notched at 4.8 GHz,6.6GHz and 9.4 GHz. The proposed filter can realize sharp out-of-band rejection performance and the maximum ripple was 0.88 dB, while the minimum insertion loss was 0.6dB.
