  • Abstract
This paper presents a novel study on the design of broadband rectifying circuit. Five-sectional impedance matching network is employed to obtain high conversion efficiencies of Radio frequency (RF) to Direct current (DC) in wideband. The Five-sectional impedance matching network consists of three transmission lines, an open-circuited stub and a short-circuited stub. As a consequence, the rectifying circuit has good performances from 1.7GHz to 2.7GHz. The rectifying circuit is successfully realized in theory and verified by full wave EM simulation, and simulated frequency response results show that the RF-DC conversion efficiencies of 46% and 45% are obtained at 1.8GHz and 2.4GHz. In addition, the designed rectifying circuit can be used for a variety of wireless charging systems.
