Abstract :
A nonlinear least square approach is proposed to estimate Doppler parameters of Synthetic Aperture Radars (SAR). The estimator includes Doppler centroid and Doppler frequency rate. Radar echoes are modeled as an Auto Regress (AR) process. AR parameters can be estimated by using Yule Walker method. Power spectrum density of radar echoes is derived from AR parameters. Doppler centroid and Doppler frequency rate correspond to the peak and the width of the power spectrum density.
