Abstract :
To perform the spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) system ground test, an echo simulator with multimode, multi-assemblage, and real-time is proposed in this paper. With the platform of the real-time simulator based on FPGA and VPX bus, real-time, multi-point echo generation and scenario targets echo generation can be achieved, while the parameters are calculated by the industry computers. Furthermore, different signals can be output in this platform if the platform is expanded to multi-channels. It is possible for the assignment of echo generation and test in different spaceborne SAR modes. The test results of the platform show that the platform can satisfy the system requirements and it is used in practice.
