  • Abstract
Design equations are presented for the development of reliable dynamic controllers for discrete-time systems characterized by redundant sensors and actuators. The problem considered is the preservation of performance measured by a bound on the relevant H/sub /spl infin// norm in case of outage of any one sensor or any one actuator. The approach parallels that proposed for continuous time systems. The development of the design equations is however tailored to the nature of the discrete algebraic Riccati equation.
