Abstract :
The sampling technique has been used in many laboratories to measure low frequency ac voltage by using an integrating sampling digital voltmeter. It has already been demonstrated that excellent accuracy can be achieved using such techniques at frequencies below 1 kHz. This paper evaluates the theory behind the integrating sampling technique for measuring RMS value of a sine signal and presents both simulations and measurement results, obtained with voltage calibrator and digitally synthesized calculable source. Also the frequency linearity comparison between sampling voltmeter and digitally synthesized calculable source is presented.
