Abstract
With the double-buck and boost converter appearing in rectifier units, it is necessary to decrease the input current high harmonics distortion. A unity power factor operated rectifier requires two control-loop algorithms. The superior control is the voltage control loop. It provides reference signal to the inferior current control-loop. In order to get unity power factor rectifier operation the current reference must have sinusoidal wave-shape. This function is provided by using of an analog multiplier. This paper deals with a multiplier algorithm based on a pulse width modulation algorithm.
