  • Abstract
    We describe a review of the fast growing commercial applications of microwave and mm-wave wireless technology. The emerging Microwave Video Distribution System/Local Multipoint Distribution System is predicted to be worth illions in the next five to ten years, however no single technology or standard will be capable of satisfying all the MVDS/LMDS market applications. This paper also reviews the microwave and mm-wave technologies used in the manufacture of broadband wireless systems.
