Abstract
Using absolute optical frequency referencing, an exact frequency synthesiser for dense WDM is reported, with widely tuneable sampled grating DBR lasers phase locked to one of the 64 optical carriers, 17.5 GHz spacing, generated by an amplified fibre loop comb generator.
