Abstract
In a recent work by the authors (Ozbay et al., 1998) an H/sup /spl infin// based flow controller was designed for explicit rate based congestion control in high speed networks. Time delay uncertainties were taken into account when the controller was designed. This paper studies robustness margins, e.g. largest allowable time delay, as functions of a weighting parameter used in the definition of the H/sup /spl infin// optimization problem. Another issue discussed is "non-fragile" (i.e. internally robust) implementation of the H/sup /spl infin// controller. Time domain performance is demonstrated via simulations.
